BLACK LIVES MATTER! What does this mean to you?
When people take to the streets and organize socially and politically, THINGS CHANGE. Across the nation, people have given voice to the PAIN and DAMAGE that police brutality has caused. IT IS TIME FOR AMERICA TO LISTEN!
It is time to put an end to the systemic racism that allows this culture of corruption to go unchecked and black lives to be taken. Acknowledgement and accountability must be given for the devaluation and dehumanization of Black Life at the hands of the police.
We must create a world free of anti-Blackness, where every Black person has the social, economic, and political power to thrive.
WHAT ACTION CAN WE TAKE?
Racism is a problem across the globe, and we all - both black and white - need to try and do something about it.
Dismantling centuries long systems of oppression should not and can not lie on the shoulders of black people. It is TIME that we all do our part and ignorance is no longer (nor ever was) an excuse.
